God Was Experimenting in His Seven Days of Work

No! God did not make us. Well he didn't have a plan anyway. It appears that life is just a mad chemistry experiment. People are just complicated worms with big brains. Our digestive system is really a worm.   ⎳ God x Was x Experimenting x in x His x Seven x Days x of x Work ⎳ It was inevitable that cells which devoured others for sustenance would ultimately become elongated and push out the poo at one end while consuming living creatures at the other.  All animals have worm-like intestines. ⦿ God y Was y Experimenting y in y His y Seven y Days y of y Work || days experimenting process cycle life chemical ||⦿ A pre-life process existed first. It is the citric acid cycle. This is the basis of an animal using oxygen to produce energy. Enzymes evolved to make the process work. They improve the chemical reactions.  Molecules did not sit and look at each: they interacted. ➤ God z Was z Experimenting z in z His z Seven z Days z of z Work ➤ The Krebs cycle had two precursors, th

Do Not Use Genetic Testing for Alzheimer's, Herpes or Coeliac Disease!

Genetic testing should not be used for herpes, Alzheimer's or Coeliac disease. It seems that genetic testing is not all good for health problems. MedicineWise, a body of doctors and patients, has released an advisory list for scientists. DNA testing should no be used for coeliac disease, nor for herpes or Alzheimer's. Identifying a "causative" gene only indicates a probability. Indeed, screening for herpes in genetic testing for sexually transmitted disease is a misuse of resources.  Millions of dollars of government funding is wasted every year. A DNA finding is not a black and white issue. Gene determination is not 100 per cent. Many people with a "faulty" gene do live without ever getting the so called predetermined disease. Furthermore, patients can be falsely reassured by a DNA test. ◆ Chemistry by Ty Buchanan   ◆                Australian Blog   ★   Adventure Australia . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Laws Only Change Behavior for a Short Time

You cannot change the way people think. Legislating will change behavior for a time until civil unrest or violence moves things back to the way they used to be. This will be the case with Internet laws in Australia to stop piracy. Only when the programs demanded are made available at a fair price will piracy stop. The same will be true will new "compulsory" vaccination. Some people would rather go to jail than immunize their children. Their religious or moral beliefs may seem misguided to others, but such parents are entitled to their faith. Similarly, attempts to stop paracetamol poisoning will fail because society has been inculcated with the concept that you pop a Panadol when you feel the slightest pain. We learn this as children. A crying baby makes a mother reach for the paracetamol syrup. Babies love the sweet, fruity taste. Putting all analgesics on prescription will boost the income of doctors and pharmacists. The cheap brands will not be ava

Are We Moving Toward a Secular World?

The world is polarizing with those who want to stay with religions and others who want to live their lives without any belief system. Certain norms of behavior remain from the past. The prayer before parliament begins goes back centuries. Few people go to church on Sunday anymore. Even in Muslim countries some want to live a secular life with fewer prayers throughout the day. Of course, the majority in these countries want worship pressed into law. It is human nature to make others do what you want. Unfortunately, many protest against this. The main problem is we all have different realities. There are seven billion realities on this planet. Though we are all presumed to be born the same everyone is different. No two people have the same range of hearing, color vision or even musical ability. What is truth for one is myth for another. In the past, force always won in the long term. Today freedom and independence is the call everywhere. When force meets force to

The Guilt of the Kill - Slaughterhouses

When you eat meat do you feel guilty about the early death of the creature? You probably believe that because someone else killed it you are without guilt. Buddhists are careful not to step on a blade of grass - those who really follow the Faith. It must be remembered, however, that even plants are alive, so there is no way you can avoid taking a life to obtain food. Recently, Australia temporarily stopped the export of live cattle to Indonesia. ABC television showed a documentary showing cruelty to animals during the slaughter process. Some people have pointed out that cruelty takes place at Australian abattoirs. Humans need food. Meat has more energy than any other food product. It is no wonders we consume it in massive amounts. Perhaps we cover up the guilt by calling cattle "meat" very early on in the slaughter process. For example, dead unprocessed chickens are called "whole bird products". Feeling guilty about taking a life is a religious value. W

Religion is Weakening But It Will Not Die

The world is at war between those who believe in God and those who do not. Christianity is becoming less relevant to some as they lead busy lives. Islam is still strong and growing. The other religions are still important to many, particularly when there are hardships in life. All religions are under threat as people clamber for democracy in countries where whole societies revolved around the dictates of the prevailing religion. From census data taken in 85 Western nations, it was found that the number of people ticking "unaffiliated" is increasing. Though the formula predicts total extinction of religious belief it is doubtful that this will actually occur. Even when a religion is outlawed people tend to go underground with their beliefs. It comes to life again when circumstances improve. The thing is, we will never really know if there is a God. Many go to church as "insurance", just in case there is life after death. Religious books give us answers to the questio

Anglican Website to Debate Atheism Is a Waste of Time

Anglican Church tries to convert the unconvertible. A website has been launched in an attempt to make those who see no gods, accept one god. Giving reasons for why one should believe in a creator god is an irrational attempt to make the unbelievable, believable. A read of the bible shows Yahweh to be a very angry god. Testing a father by making him sacrifice his son is hardly rational behavior even for a human, let alone a god. Telling a tribe to go forth and slaughter everyone in the land in order to have the land is a silly directive, indeed. Just how a university professor can teach while having a strong belief in God is quite "unbelievable". The website has been set up by Professor John Pilbrow. Surely, teaching requires an open attitude to just about everything in life. Does this professor also question evolution? The website is intended to "bring a more thoughtful and constructive quality to the debate." For atheists there is not debate - there is no god, full
