Future Does Not Look Good for Mankind

The time ahead do not seem bright for people. * future we does or not at look am good it mankind do future ho does eh not * The good days for modern Man are behind us. There is no way there will ever be times of high prosperity again. The problems are the human predisposition to violence and climate change.  Furthermore, there are just too many of us on this tiny spec in space.  ⎳ future to does up not at good he mankind || political australia || ⎳ People fight over differences in culture. This can be ethnic, religious, political or social. Humans are not rational beings. When they have a belief about something they will sort through the available data and lock onto what supports their case. This happens even when there is overwhelming evidence to counter their point of view.   ⦿3up ⦿3 Everyone needs somewhere safe to live. Hurricanes are becoming more frequent in certain geographic corridors. Their strength totally destroys valuable infrastructure. A Relatively stable...

Some Fish Live in Toxic Acid Water

Biology: Atlantic Molly fish of Mexico survive high hydrogen sulfide acid. There is hope for the future of fish as the world is polluted more every day. Some fish can live in extreme toxic, acidic environments. For example, the Atlantic Molly fish of Mexico can survive high levels of hydrogen sulfide acid. They are the only fish in volcanic freshwater springs. Mollies do not filter out the toxin. They turn on certain genes that do the filtering job for them. Of the fish's 35,000 genes 170 are enhanced in the process: these linked genes are all involved in removing hydrogen sulfide. If things get serious and species of fish begin to die out, this group of genes could be "spliced" into the gene structure of endangered fish. They would not be the same fish, but at least some vestige of the evolutionary sequence of dying fish would live on. ◆ Biology by Ty Buchanan   ◆ Adventure Australia Funny Animal Photos Funny Weird Things Articles News Reviews ● ...

Northern Australia Has a New Dolphin

There are many species of dolphin. To most people they look much alike. We know that they are very intelligent and like to be in the presence of Man, even if it is only following boats A new species has been identified off northern Australia. It could have always been there or moved there from somewhere else. They are in the "hump" class, having a raised portion below the dorsal fin. Scientists are treating the dolphin as a new species which makes three species of Indo-Pacific humpback. There are four kinds of humpback in total including the eastern Atlantic type, Sousa teuszi l.   Apparently, naming of the "new" species is a complex process based on the previously used naming practice, behavior of the animal itself and its habitat. Discovery of the northern Australian dolphin came about by the first intense study into the humpback genus. It involved examination of 180 skulls and 235 tissue samples. http://www.adventure--australia.blogspot....

Less Atractive Males Make do With Plainer Females

An audience affects the behavior of mating male fish. If a male Atlantic Molly ( Poecilia mexicana ) is left alone he will try to mate with the healthiest looking female - the best female in his eyes. If there are other males in the vicinity he will not choose this female. It may be thought that he is giving up. This is not the case. He is thinking strategically. By choosing a less desirable female he leads other males away from the intended target best female. The male hopes to mate with this female later when the other rival males have gone. Some males are just too ordinary and have to mate with lesser females because other fitter males stop them getting close to "ideal" females. Mating with any female is better than not mating at all. This behavior could be present in humans. When a group of young men meet with a group of young females the handsomest men can be expected to pair off with the prettiest young ladies. The less attractive have to make do with second be...
