Single women usually get pregnant "accidentally", which married females do generally plan when they have children. This is similar for men. Researchers now say it is in your genes - presuming DNA affects your behavior.      | fertility you DNA or predictive or about up have we number by DNA as children in you ho fertility oh predictive la number ha babies children go have oh fertility pregnant number | Claims are that 12 areas of your DNA  (24 specific genes)  determine the sum of kids and your age when you have them. Two hundred and fifty academics examined a quarter of a million men and women. They found that women who had children later in life had genes pushing back the onset of menstruation. Of course, if you

Insect Population Measured by DNA Analysis of Spider Webs

Spider webs are advanced pieces of evolutionary engineering. They are also collecting vats for what lives in the neighborhood. The DNA of what a spider had for dinner remains on the web for months. Silk from spiders webs is in demand for potential pest management, conservation, biodiversity monitoring and biogeography. It is a natural source of accumulated data and analysis of it is informative. If the DNA makeup of a web changes then something is wrong. In the tests, black widow spiders were kept alive by feeding them with crickets. When a spider died its DNA remained on the web for 88 days. In the wild, the net of the web catches insects, small animals and flora debris. Going out and getting some web silk is proving to be a valuable way of monitoring changes in spider populations, particularly when new species move into an area. Importantly, an eye can be kept on those on the endangered list. The method is only good for small animals because large ones take the whole web wit

Royal Gifts are Property of the People

The British Royal Family gets hundreds of gifts each year not only from heads of state but ordinary people as well. Gifts may be given in good heart. However, givers should know that the presents will never be owned by any member of the royal family. They remain the property of the people. All manner of things are given. Food hampers, books, bowls, riding crops, coffee grinders, statues, model thrones, coins, beer, honey, toys, ski outfit s, even boot scrapers and arrows.  The "Who's Who in Australia 2014".will come in real handy at the dinner table. Just how the ownership system works is not clear. The Monarchy can use the objects, using them until they are worn out, yet they still remain property of the people. Get into them toys little George and have a real good time. You will never own them. Getting pleasure from them is your preserve. ✴ Society by Ty Buchanan ✴ http://www.adventure--australia.blogspot.com/ http://www.tysaustralia.blogspot.

Women Will Not be Needed to Carry Babies

The time when women choose to have babies has changed through history. At the beginning of the 20th century, Doctors told women to wait until they were at least 24 to become pregnant, because it was known that giving births earlier resulted in "damaged" babies due to the lack of medical knowledge at the time.  Waiting too long, however, also resulted in fertility problems. Of course, much of this advice went by the wayside as lack of reliable contraception led to birthing at a younger age anyway. The Great Depression put a real "stymie" on women choosing to have children in their twenties. Lack of income reduced interest in sex and men told their wives to not fall pregnant. At least this is what we are told. War in the late 1930s saw all of this self-control fall away as couples fell pregnant with the view that one could be dead tomorrow. Even in 1942 a doctor said people were selfish and wanted creature comforts more than childr

Pioneers Had More Children

People living in different places "breed" at different rates. Reasons put forward are level of income, education of women and access to contraceptives. Family size has also changed at various places in history. The adventurous ones who ventured far and wide had more children than those who remained in established urban centers. This is particularly the case for British and French settlers in North America. Resources were more plentiful in new unsettled regions. For example, buffalo and native animals could easily be shot and eaten on the spot. New settlers were also healthier, being active for most of their lives. An examination of Canadian records since 1608 shows that couples on the outer edge of expansion had 20 per cent more children than those remaining in established regions. They also married younger. The pioneer contribution to the gene pool was four time greater than those who settled in populated areas. Church records were the main data source. If the numb
