Mad PM to Make Australia an Arms Producer

Australia's Prime Minister, Malcolm Turnbull, is blowing out of his rear end again. You may say he is a dreamer with the quickie ideas he comes up with. I call him a stupid hairhead. He says such silly things like this country becoming a leading world arms supplier and willingly handing over funds, while considering stopping unemployment benefits for all people under 30 years of age. ⎳ Mad x PM to Make x Australia x an x Arms x Producer | blog | ⎳ His theory of the trickle down effect has been proved not to work. Giving tax cuts to the already wealthy never puts money into the pockets of the working poor. The rich just hide more of their ill-gotten gains in the West Indies as the PM has done himself. He has no understanding of economics. You get to be a "successful" businessman like him by skimming off the income of others. Somehow you find a way to charge more for the goods you sell. You can also do this by stealing from your employees. Something that the turning...

Chinese Australians are not Loyal Citizens

▶ chinese are to the north of. chinese | mainland stories news.| loyal of subculture to china lost american loyal citizens ◀ | It seems Chinese australians do not have the welfare of the Nation first in their minds. Though many are born here their main allegiance is to Mainland China. This may be hard to believe but it is true. You see wherever these people live they see themselves as Chinese. Like recent immigrants who identify strongly with their hard-line religious beliefs, the subcultures are a danger to this country.     ||| australians chinese it china in mainland subculture australians citizens is or chinese of australians to loyal | The  Chinese Australian Services Society (CASS) is openly supportive of the Communist regime in China. So much so that it made a submission to the Department of Foreign Affairs. This is way out of line as far as I am concerned. They should concentrate on the job on community matters like aged-care and childcare. ...

Parliamentarians Can Be Trusted - Ah ah ah!

politics funding cuts to CSIRO Malcolm Turnbull loves private business so much so that he is making massive funding cuts to CSIRO. The public/private body is sacking 110 highly skilled employees from the Oceans and Atmosphere division. More sackings are in the pipeline because CSIRO has been forced into this position by first Tony Abbott and now Malolm Turnbull. The soft smile of the PM is only a thin veneer over the right wing belief that the market solves everything. No work being done here! We would be driving on dirt tracks if road funding was not public. The poor would be dying in the streets if medical treatment was private. There would be no trains to the city for daily commuters, as the only private rail tracks transport minerals to the coast. Rural people would have no means of communication if Telstra had not been a public enterprise. The copper wire still used for the Internet was put down over a century ago and is still being used in some places. We always ge...

Memorization Is Still Useful at University

It has been said that memorizing answers is not good preparation for university. This is based on the premise that much tertiary work is research and evaluation. But what about exams? Semester examinations can contribute from 10 to 50 per cent of a subject, depending on who creates the "set up" of a course. Lecturers set exams based upon their own knowledge. They can't help themselves. It is like an artist who paints a crowd. On close perusal of the picture you can see many instances of little artists everywhere. In other words painters tend to create images of themselves. University lecturers test students on their own knowledge - they have their own pet areas. Students can benefit from this. They can take a recording device into lectures. Indeed, many institutions record lectures for students who miss them for unforeseen reasons. It is possible to buy devices that play back speech very fast. They have a tone control to normalize the pitch. Students can play lectures ove...
