Single Migration Out of Africa is Wrong - Scientists

The long held "belief" that humans came out of Africa 60,000 years ago has now been officially announced as wrong by scientists. Migrations had been regularly been pushed back as far as 120,000 years before the present. It seems migration was constant not in waves.

New research methods detect Homo sapiens in Asia very early, particularly in China. Genetic traces of these people are very low in modern humans. This indicates that the initial movement was slow from Africa. Later it became of a flood of Inquisitive searchers of new regions beyond.

The early arrivals interbred with Denisovans and Neanderthals. These humans were taller and slender than those who came later. Neaderthals made tools from large flakes while humans technology involved lighter, finer cutting blades and spear heads. This was probably because Neanderthals were more muscular and tended to bash the quarry to death.

Humans were more creative, carving antlers and bone. They made ivory flutes. Cave etchings show their expertise and their world. They did evolve in Africa indicated by modern day Africans. Later genetic change in other parts of the world were largely adaptive. These included skin color, nasal structure and fat around the eyelids both to deal with colder climates.

We all carry the mitochondrial DNA of one woman (Eve) who lived in Africa over 200,000 years ago. She had an unbroken line of daughters. It must be noted that she also had an ancient ancestor. Those who went to Asia left very little evidence behind. Fossils and artifacts found are mainly from Europe. Australian Aboriginals arrived in Australia 45,000 years back, before humans entered Europe 40,000 years. We will have to accept that Aboriginal culture is older than European culture. Note, most recent research puts earliest arrival of Homo sapiens to Europe at 210,000 years ago, but they died out. No agreement on dates has yet been reached.

Anthropology Has New Theory on Australian Aboriginals

New theory on Australian Aboriginals - Anthropology. Australian Aboriginals split from Eurasians and moved south into the dry continent. Twenty thousand years later the world warmed up and Australia was cut off from its northern neighbors. This is the latest theory.  But when Europeans initially came to Queensland there were two types of native people. Each was a distinct genetic pool. One was like Papua New Guineans. The other was very slight and shorter. It is the latter that predominates today. Papua New Guineans Australian Aboriginals Some scientists still hold that there was only one move out of Africa. This is an unsustainable supposition. The doors for movement were always open. Australian Aboriginals were quite unique. It seems that they were the first to leave Africa. There is also the question of Tasmanian Aboriginals who were wiped out by arriving Europeans. There is no evidence of them now. They could not light fires. The flames had to be stol...

Beatboxing - Percussion Sounds of the Mouth

There must be a dearth of things to study. Scientists are now researching the odd sounds that people make. It may seem weird but its true. Those who can make odd sounds are called beatboxers. Scientists are interested in percussion sounds. These are expressed in Celtic, Chinese, North American and Indian cultures. Hip-hop is an area of great interest. A young "practitioner" had MRI scans done on his mouth while he created percussion sounds. The conclusion reached is that a lot of brainpower is involved in imitating percussion. It "is a small part of the larger puzzle," experts say. In my view it takes little mental concentration.
